Payment Options

dsp-0759

We make every effort to keep our fees as low as possible while still providing our patients with the very best in oral care. Our dentists understand that dental treatment can often be unexpected and will provide you with treatment options to best suit your personal and financial needs. After an examination, your dentist can also provide you with a written quote for your chosen treatment options, so you will always be financially prepared before your visit.

It is our practice policy that full payment is due at the time of service. Students and seniors over the age of 65 will receive a 10% discount on most general dental treatment options.

We have a variety of payment options available here at Fernvale Dental. We accept cash and EFTPOS payments and also have HICAPS facilities for instant health fund claims

Private Health Funds and Hicaps

At Plainland Dental, we are very proud to be part of the Members’ Choice network for Medibank Private, Member's First for Bupa, the More for Teeth program for HCF and the Choice Network for CBHS. Patients in these health funds will receive maximum rebate levels at our practice. We also provide HICAPS facilities for our patients, which enables us to make a claim, to your health insurer, on your behalf. This means, on the day of treatment, you only need to pay for the portion of treatment your health insurer doesn’t cover. Please remember to bring your private health insurance card to your appointment.

Hicaps currently supports 46 major health funds. To find out if Hicaps supports your health fund please call Hicaps on 1800 80 57 80 or visit www.hicaps.com.au

NILS - No Interest Loan Scheme

HOW DOES NILS WORK IN YOUR COMMUNITY?

NILS isn't a payday loan and it's not a bank loan.  NILS works through a process called 'circular community credit'.  This means when a borrower makes a repayment to NILS, the funds are then available to someone else in the community.

The Provider Network is a national network of accredited microfinance providers, coordinated by Good Shepherd Microfinance. Microfinance providers are community organisations with a shared commitment to helping people out of poverty towards economic independence.

Please note, loan purpose and eligibility criteria vary across NILS programs.

To apply for a loan through the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) or StepUP, you need to go through a provider. Your local provider is:

Taxation Entitlements

It is a good idea to keep your dental invoices as you may be entitled to a 20% rebate on the total of all medical expenses for your family that exceed $1500. If you have private health insurance this only applies to the out of pocket expenses after your private health rebate. For more information speak to your accountant.
