Dental Restrictions Reduced to Level One
The Australian Dental Association (ADA) has announced that restrictions on dental treatment be lessened to level one.
As of Monday May 11th, Plainland Dental is now able to offer our entire range of dental treatments and services.
What does level one restrictions mean?
At this stage we are only restricted when someone presents with COVID-19 symptoms. We are unable to treat these patients unless they require urgent dental treatment.
We will continue to follow our strict hygiene protocols which are designed to protect both you and our staff. We have adopted every additional precaution advised for our industry, including screening questions prior to appointments and increased environmental cleaning throughout the whole practice. Rest assured that your safety remains of upmost importance.
If you had an appointment or treatment plan postponed due to the previous restrictions, our team will be getting in touch shortly to reschedule you.

Is it safe for me to visit you?
We are proud to say that our practice has always gone above and beyond to make sure we provide a safe environment for our patients and team. This period is no different, we have spent considerable time and resources ensuring that we stay up to date with, and adopt, all recommended additional precautions.
Along with the extra environmental cleaning, we are diligently pre-screening every patient to make sure its safe for you to visit us. We apologise if this can sometimes seem intrusive, but as they say, “safety first”! Please be patient with our receptionists as they ask you questions of this nature, we need to look after everyone as thoroughly as possible.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. Keeping you safe and smiling is what we are all about!
So what can I come in for?
All dental treatments and services are now available. There are no restrictions on dental work in Queensland.
What should I expect during my visit?
Your appointment will run largely as normal with a few changes such as a pre-procedural mouthrinse. We will still continue to practice social distancing in the waiting room and allocate additional time for more specific environmental cleaning between appointments – please bear with us as this changeover time will be increased.
What if I do have COVID-19 symptoms?
If you are displaying flu-like symptoms, seek medical advice and contact us and we will be able to reschedule your appointment. If you require urgent dental treatment, we will be able to refer you to a specific dental service equipped to treat COVID-19 patients.
